Update a server disk

Since 7.1.0
PUT/servers/{serverId}/disks/{diskRef}

Change a disk's bus, cache, IO mode or QoS, or grow it with sizeGb at the next power change. apply: true pushes a QoS change to the running server; disks cannot be shrunk.

Request

Authorization
Provide your bearer token in the Authorization header when making requests to protected resources.
Example: Authorization: Bearer ********************
Path Params#
serverIdinteger#required

A valid server ID as shown in VirtFusion.

Example: 1
diskRefstring#required

Which disk: its id from the list, or its drive letter (a is the primary disk).

Example: b
Body Paramsapplication/json#

Any subset of the disk's settings, or a new size.

busstring#
Allowed values:defaultvirtiovirtio-scsisatavirtio-discardvirtio-scsi-single
cachestring#
Allowed values:defaultnonewritethroughwritebackdirectsyncunsafe
iostring#
Allowed values:defaultthreadsnativeio_uringnone
qosobject#

Nested fields left out are preserved; 0 or null clears a limit.

fields
readIopsinteger#nullable
writeIopsinteger#nullable
readBytesinteger#nullable
writeBytesinteger#nullable
enabledboolean#

Not for the primary disk.

sizeGbinteger#

New size, larger than the current one; queues a grow.

applyboolean#

Push the QoS to the running server now. Only with qos.

Examples

    "qos": {
        "readIops": 500,
