Storage

Add a disk to a server

Since 7.1.0
POST/servers/{serverId}/disks

Add a disk to a built server, up to sixteen. It is created at the server's next power change and shows as pending until then.

Queued. The disk is returned with status: pending and the queued create under pending.

#
application/json
object

A server disk. pending is the queued action on it, if any; hypervisor-side changes run at the next power change.

ServerDisk fields
idinteger#
drivestring#

Drive letter, a for the primary disk; accepted in paths.

primaryboolean#
sizeGbinteger#

Confirmed size. A queued grow shows its target in pending.newSizeGb until the hypervisor confirms.

Allowed values:qcow2raw
filesystemstring#nullable

Filesystem created on the disk at creation, if any.

queued can be cancelled; running cannot; failed retries at the next power change and can be cancelled; stuck means its task ended without finishing it.
